Alstom and Flox are trialing an AI wildlife detection system on Swedish railways to reduce train-animal collisions, with the technology identifying animals and using tailored sound signals to deter them. The project, funded by a Swedish government grant, aims to enhance both rail safety and wildlife protection by preventing the approximately 5,000 annual animal collisions on Sweden's tracks.
