Bob Fischer is a Professor of Philosophy at Texas State University, a Senior Research Manager for Rethink Priorities, and the Director of the Society for the Study of Ethics and Animals. He led Rethink Priorities’ Moral Weight Project and now runs RP’s Worldview Investigation Team. His most recent book is Weighing Animal Welfare: Comparing Well-being Across Species (Oxford, 2024).
